FreedomGRESS at WindEurope 2024 in Bilbao
We took part in WindEurope 2024 in Bilbao — the industry's main European gathering — and showed the security work that later became Project 528.
WindEurope 2024 in Bilbao brought together operators, manufacturers, investors and researchers from across the wind sector. For us it was the first public outing of the security reasoning we had been developing for offshore assets.
The conversations there confirmed what we suspected from the modelling side: operators do not lack risk registers. What they lack is a live picture — an answer to how much time remains before a threat becomes damage, and what changes that number.
That work is now Project 528. The methods behind it — dynamic Bayesian networks and functional resonance analysis — are described on the research page.
